She has one sister Lauren Cahill. Cahill was born in Stafford Virginia. Within her first four years she began to perform in productions by the high schools run by her parents. Eight years later, Cahill took classes in dancing and singing. She was Miss Pre-Teen Virginia in 1991 as well as the first runner-up of Miss Junior America. As a high-school student of Brooke Point High School she continued to act and was the president of several groups, among them The Honor Thespians. Her junior year at Brooke Point was the first cohort of the same age group to score perfect marks in all areas that comprised an Governors School for the Arts drama audition. At age 16 she also was awarded the title of Overall Actor at the Actors Models Talent for Christ contest. She graduated in 1998 from the college and began pursuing a career as a full-time actor with the city of Los Angeles.
