Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25 of 1970) is an American actress, best recognized for her role as detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter respectively on NBC's Providence drama and The Resident's medicine drama The Resident. She also received praise for her debut television performance as a character on Guiding Light on CBS as Eleni Cooper. She was also a part of 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians, The Lightning Thief and Snitch. She is reportedly making a film adaptation of Elisabeth KublerRoss's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the team who wrote the movie Immortals. In addition, she is filming the upcoming show Gods & Heroes.
